Gift Vouchers To organise a gift voucher please email me directly at hello@silviapotente.com. Gift vouchers cannot be refunded. Packaging All jewellery comes nicely presented in a quality jewellery box/ pouch. Proposing without a ring Would you like to include your partner in the design process after the proposal? I can source a loose Gemstone or Diamond for you to propose with. It will come nicely displayed in a Gem box and a design consultation voucher can be included. For loose stone purchases the full payment is required. Please contact me to enquire about sourcing a loose gemstone or to discuss other proposal options. Obtaining a finger size The most accurate way to determine a finger size is to be professionally sized by myself or by a local jeweller. If this is not possible and you’d like to discuss your finger size before purchasing a ring, or if the ring is a surprise please contact me as there are a few ways to obtain a finger size or make an educated guess.I work with Australian/UK standard sizing, which are letters, but I can help with conversions. Repairs of jewellery made by Silvia If there is a repair, resize or adjustment required on a Silvia Potente Jewellery piece, please contact me to discuss the issue and we can go from there. Include photos if necessary. Please see warranty and returns for more information. Repairs of jewellery not made by Silvia Potente Jewellery All repairs of jewellery not made by Silvia Potente Jewellery require an assessment in person to confirm I am happy to take on the job and therefore is limited to people living in/near London who can bring their jewellery to me in person for an assessment. I do not accept postage assessments as often this is more costly than the repair itself. Cleaning services I offer a complimentary polish (plating if required) of your engagement ring before your wedding to ensure its clean and sparkling for your big day! I don’t offer any formal complimentary yearly cleaning services with my jewellery because I am a one person business and annually polishing every item I’ve made becomes a full-time job. But I’m happy to occasionally clean your custom-made pieces in my ultrasonic cleaner and check the stones are secured when you have a special occasion coming up. If you feel your jewellery needs some jeweller’s attention then please contact me to arrange a time to bring it in as I want to ensure your jewellery lasts a long time and looks its best. If any other work (not covered by warranty) is recommended or if you would like a full polish and plate, there may be a small fee discussed and charged. Any postage is the responsibility of the customer. Please contact me before posting any items. Insurance companies It’s recommended to purchase Insurance for Jewellery of a high value. When choosing your insurance policy please ensure it covers accidental damage, loss and theft. It is also wise to keep records of your jewellery including photos of the pieces. A couple of Australian Jewellery specific Insurance companies are Q report and Jewel Sure, or you could look into adding your jewellery to your existing home insurance. Custom Designs For all custom designs a payment of 50% is required to secure any gemstones, diamonds and to begin manufacturing. This can be paid via Direct Bank transfer and a receipt will be provided. The final balance is payable either by cash on collection or Direct Bank Transfer. For Direct Bank Transfer please allow a few days for the funds to clear before collection or shipping. The final balance of the item is to be paid no later than 6 weeks after completion. Currently, I do not have a credit card facility. Custom pieces usually take 4-6 weeks to be manufactured from the day your perfect stone is found, the design finalised and deposit received. Factors that could extend this timeframe are complex designs and whether a gemstone needs to be specially cut or polished. However, this is usually established during the design consultation prior to a deposit being made. It is difficult to determine how long the initial consultation and design process will take as it can vary based on how long it takes to source the perfect gemstone or diamond and how easy it is to schedule a design consultation together. Please let me know in advance if you have a specific timeframe in mind. Once the design is agreed upon and manufacturing begins the design usually cannot be altered. But I want you to love your custom jewellery, so if you’ve had a change of heart or thought of something special you would like to incorporate into the design contact me as soon as possible to discuss. If you have a very short schedule please contact me. I will always try my best to accommodate your timeframe or offer some alternative options. Custom Quotes Any quotes for custom work supplied by Silvia are valid for 4 weeks. After this time, I may need to reassess the quote due to fluctuations in the cost of materials, specifically gold and platinum. I source gemstones and diamonds specifically for each client from established and reputable suppliers but cannot hold these indefinitely. Sometimes stones are in demand by other jewellers. I will always inform you as to how much time you have to decide on purchasing a particular stone. If you forfeit a particular stone, then a new one may need to be sourced and quote adjusted. Ready to buy items When purchasing any ready to buy items from my website, the full payment must be made at the time of purchase. If you would like to make any adjustments or customisations to a ready-made design please contact me via email before purchasing. Manufacturing for other designers Whilst Bespoke jewellery is my main passion, I do enjoy the collaboration of working with other designers, so if you need some help with your jewellery business please contact me to discuss further and to ensure we will be a good fit.
